Sport and Health Week – get active with the VMU Sports Centre!

On 17-20 April, the VMU Sports Centre is organising a Sport and Health Week to celebrate International Health Day. The aim of the week is to invite and bring together the university community, to promote physical activity and the habit of taking care of one’s health and physical well-being.
On all days of the event, the Sports Centre will invite the university community to 3×3 basketball, volleyball, chess, football, badminton, and barbell press and bullet firing competitions. On 19 April, a physical activity and wellness studio will be set up in the lobby of the VMU ŽŪA Main building. Engaging in physical activity activities such as walking, cycling, active recreation and playing games improves brain function, mental health, quality of life and well-being, maintains healthy body weight and strengthens bones and muscles.
So don’t wait, invite your study friends, and take part in the tournaments organised by Sport and Health Week!
