Professors and researchers of VDU Agricultural Academy and Warsaw University of Life Sciences has long collaboration history according ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training program and participating in Conferences and organizing projects. The origins of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS – SGGW)* dated back to 1816, to the creation of the Institute of Agronomy in Marymont, the first agricultural institution of higher education in Poland and only the fourth one in Europe. The Institute offered programs at two levels: the higher level, intended for the administrators and management, as well as for sons of large landowners, and the elementary level, for agricultural labourers.
Prof. Eglė Jotautienė presented the study programs and mobility of ERASMUS+ possibilities in Vytautas Magnus University of Agriculture Academy. Eglė Jotautienė and Antanas Juostas presented the lectures on topics: “Telemetry systems in agriculture and yield mapping handling, data management”, “Spreading of granulated organic fertilizer by centrifugal fertilizer spreader” and „Innovative technologies in agrimachinery”. Master degree students and professors paid big interest on the topics presented during the lectures and seminars. There has been good discussion and interesting questions about Precision Agriculture and Organic Fertilizer.
Dr. hab. Dariusz Gozdowski has presented the laboratories. He shortly explained the areas of research. There was great possibility to find out good experience in organization of studies, other teaching methods, communication culture between teachers and students.
This visit has gave great opportunity receive and exchange the specific and new information in the development of research projects and research tests. The gained experience will be useful for enhancing the quality of studies at our university.
