Open Access Centre

About us

Five integrated science, research and business centres (valleys) have been developed recently in Lithuania. Valleys specialize in a number of scientific research fields and involve main Lithuanian research institutions. According to the national rules, all R&D resources located in the valleys must be available for the public on the basis of open access. For this reason, universities and research institutes must establish open access centres and provide access to their R&D resources. Other entities which possess R&D equipment are also eligible to establish an open access centre. So far, more than 20 open access centres have been created in Lithuania.

This site contains information about all the open access centres in Lithuania. Additionally, it provides links to R&D infrastructure in Estonia and Latvia in order to present the state of art of the R&D infrastructure in the Baltic states.
