MARHER project – 1st Meeting in Brussels

Dr. Rasa Pranskūnienė  and Erika Zabulioniene from Bioeconomy Development Faculty, Business and Rural Development Research Institute has attended the first meeting of partners in the Erasmus+ Strategic partnerships KA2 project – Heritage Marketing for competitiveness of Europe in the global market (acronym MARHER). The first meeting of partners took place at CBE (Cooperation Bancaire Pour l’Europe) in Brussels (Belgium) on the 5th and 6th of December. The meeting was attended by representatives of 6 project partners, including two universities: Syddansk Universitet (Denmark), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) and four companies: Danitacom (Denmark), I-Strategies (Italy), CBE (Belgium) and FVB S.R.L (Italy).

The project, which has a two years implementation period, aims to create the new professional figure (the Heritage Marketer), creative and innovative, able to help companies to valorize, in terms of heritage marketing and brand reputation, their own history and that of their brands and products. As well this project seeks to improve the competitiveness of European companies by enhancing what characterizes and differentiates Europe from other continents and markets: its secular history, to improve the brand reputation of companies by allowing them, on the one hand, to better communicate their stories and ethical practices (pushing them to intensify them); to improve the employability of young graduates in humanities who, in the periodic employment rankings of recent graduates, are systematically in the last positions.
